Even though the 2013 Flex is a full-size car, it certainly does not lack in the performance category.
- The standard powertrain is a 3.5L V6 engine capable of 285 hp and 255 lb-ft of torque that can get you up to 25 mpg on the highway; it's available in standard front-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive is an option.
- If that's not enough power for you, there's a turbocharged version of the 3.5L V6 with intimidating performance. This turbocharged powertrain ups the output to 355 hp and 35 lb-ft of torque and can get up to 60 mpg in only 6.6 seconds.
Vehicle Features
The Ford Flex is available in two seating configurations to fit either six or seven passengers and comes in three different trim levels.
- The base trim is the Flex SE, though drivers will find it very well equipped. It comes with rear paring sensors, a power driver's seat, free emergency assistance, Bluetooth wireless and more via Sync. Drivers will find the interior quite plush and comfortable even at the base level.
- Next is the SEL trim, which provides dual-zone climate control, heated seats in the front, satellite radio, two easily-accessible USB Ports, foglamps, and more. This trim level also features the MyFord touchscreen interface, which allows for real-time traffic updates in its navigation system if you choose to add it on.
- Finally at the top is the Limited trim, which provides blindspot detection, xenon headlights, navigation, an improved 12-speaker sound system, and perforated-leather upholstery. There are also options you can add on such as the automatic parallel parking system and a refrigerated compartment in the car!
