The Ford Escape received an update in 2021 and now features a much more modern, sleek design. The body is a very very sporty with a raking roof line and overall smooth shape. Bold Grill
The grill of the Escape gives the SUV a lot of it's personality and complements the shape of the car well. With the sloped hood and modern headlights, it's hard to mistake this SUV for any other on the road. After the 2021 redesign the entire vehicle is now 4 inches wider and 2.5 inches longer. There is a clear athletic stance to the Escape and it has impressive performance to match.
Sporty Stance
The rear of the Escape continues the sporty design with sleek headlights and angular accents. There is also a silver lower bumper that frames up the dual exhaust. All together the Escape has a strong personality that is complimented by all the little details.
Modern LED Headlights
The headlights have teardrop shape that fits the overall design well. There are two headlight options to choose from, both with LED daytime running lights that add a nice modern touch. The upper trim levels have LED headlights as well to complete the modern look.

Interior
Modern Cabin Design
The cabin of the Escape has a simple and modern layout that features a tablet style infotainment system and available 12 inch digital speedometer display. No matter if you have a whole family to drive around or just want a vehicle that has space for friends and can handle Iowa winters, the Escapes versatility makes it a great option for a lot of car buyers.
Tablet Style Infotainment
The infotainment system has a modern tablet design and is super easy to use. From playing your favorite tunes to displaying your phones navigation, this display makes it simple. The system comes equipped with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making hands-free services a breeze.
12" Digital Speedometer
The Escape's modern interior features an available 12.3 inch digital instrument cluster that comes standard on both SE Sport Hybrid and Titanium trims. This display has a modern UI that makes the whole driving experience feel quite unique. Ford did a great job at designing both interfaces to compliment the modern style of the Escape.
Heads-Up Display
The available heads-up display helps keep your eyes on the road and feels like a real slice of the future. The H.U.D. not only adds to the modern feel of the interior but also helps the driver stay focused by displaying helpful information.
Automatic Climate Control
Standard on all trims is automatic climate control that reads the temperature of the cabin and will maintain separate temperatures for the driver seat, passenger seat, and rear seats. No more fighting over control of the temperature.
Modern Rotary Shifter
Ford elected to go with a new rotary shifter that helps free up space in the center console. The rotary shifter is made with gloss black and aluminum accents and fits into the style of the interior well. It takes a second to get used to but overall is a nice touch.
Class-Leading Second Row
The newly designed cabin makes great use of space and has a best-in-class second row legroom. The new sliding second row seats allow for impressive space in the back seat or can be slide forward to create more cargo space in the trunk.
Panoramic Vista Roof
The Panoramic Vista Roof brings in a lot of natural light into the cabin. This large sunroof runs from above the front seat to the second row headrests and really transforms the cabin. Available on all but the 'S' trim.

Towing Capability
Ford takes pride in the capability of all their vehicles and the trailering packages available to the Escape are a great example of Ford's dedication. The Escape can tow up to 3,500 pounds with the 2.0L EcoBoost Engine and has two available trailer packages to turn your Escape into a versatile work-horse.
Plug-In Hybrid
The plug-In hybrid powertrain is available on the SE Sport and Titanium trim levels. The battery can recharge in 3.5 hours with the upgraded 240-volt charger and is able to travel 30 miles without engine use. The plug-in hybrid outputs 209 horsepower and delivers responsive quickness that you won't find in most hybrid vehicles.
Regenerative Braking
The Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid trims both come equipped with the Regenerative Braking System that uses the car's momentum to recharge the on-board battery. This system captures energy that is usually lost to friction braking and feeds that energy back to the onboard battery. You get a great feel for this system working with the displays that show how effective your hybrid system is performing.
Automatic Start-Stop
All Escape trim levels come equipped with auto start-stop technology to help reduce fuel consumption and drastically improve city MPG. The system will turn off the engine when the car is at a standstill and will seamlessly kick it back on when the driver needs to accelerate. No more wasting gas at long stop lights.
AWD Disconnect
Ford is offering an available AWD disconnect that allows for the drivetrain to disconnect from the rear wheel system when AWD is not needed. This system allows for more energy conservation by reducing the drag on the drivetrain when the vehicle is in FWD mode.

Ford Expanded there advanced safety program to come standard on all Escape trims. Now the Ford CoPilot360 safety package is standard on all trim levels, giving you and your passengers extra safety no matter where your travels take you.
